Why we collect Personal information

We collect your personal information to help us deliver a superior level of service. It enables us to give you convenient access to our short films, and helps us keep you updated on special offers, news, and the latest information on pureAphrodisiac products and services that you might like to hear about.

What information we collect and how we use it

There are a number of situations in which your personal information may help us give you better service.

For example, we may ask for your personal information when you’re discussing a service issue on the phone with a Member Services Associate, registering to become a member, participating in an online survey, or purchasing a short film. At such times, we may collect personal information relevant to the situation, such as your name, email address, phone number, and contact preferences; your credit card information; and information relating to a support or service issue.

We collect information for market research purposes — such as your browser technology and where you use your computer — to gain a better understanding of our customers and thus provide more valuable service. We also collect information regarding user activities on our website. This helps us to determine how best to provide useful information to users and to understand which parts of our website and Internet services are of most interest to them.

Registration

If you register to become a member of pureAphrodisiac, we will use the personally identifying information you provide (your name and email address) to contact you about your account when necessary. Your ID Question and ID Answer are used by Member Services Associates to identify callers. Your Date of Birth is used to verify your age.

Your password is used to verify your identity when you use the Site, and it is not available to pureAphrodisiac personnel for any purpose. Your password hint will be emailed to you if you forget your password. If your password hint doesn’t help jog your memory, you can request a new temporary password to be emailed to you. You must sign in using the temporary password within 36 hours, upon which you will be asked to choose a new password.

No unsolicited offers or promotions are sent at any time. Membership at pureAphrodisiac is free of charge.

Tell a friend

If you use our referral service to tell a friend about our website, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit our website. pureAphrodisiac stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.

Purchasing a Short Film

If you purchase a short film from us, we require your membership and request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as phone number and billing address) and billing information (such as credit card number and expiration date).

We use this information only for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

You also have the ability to choose whether your billing information is saved for future purchases. If you designate the information to be saved, it will be stored securely and used for future purchases. If you designate the information to not be saved, you will be asked to provide credit card details on your next purchase, again, with the ability to choose whether those details are saved for future purchases. For your protection, the default behavior is to not store your credit card information, so you must explicitly agree to store the information if you so choose. If you want to designate a different credit card, if there is a change in your credit card information, or if you would like to remove your billing information, you may change your billing information online at My Information. All credit card numbers are encrypted and not viewable on the Site or emailed to anyone for any reason.

Sending Feedback to the Filmmaker

If you send feedback to the Filmmaker using the form on the pureAphrodisiac website, your email address and name will not be made available to the Filmmaker. You should be aware that any information you share in the Subject and message body is visible to the filmmaker and pureAphrodisiac. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in the feedback form.

Submitting a Short Film

If you submit a film to us, we require your membership and request certain personally identifiable information from you and your stars on the Submit Film page. You must provide Your Short Film information (such as Title, Synopsis), information about your Stars (such as name and date of birth), information about payments (such as name, billing address, and Filmmaker Federal Tax ID or Social Security number), and legal compliance information (such as age verification of Stars and full ownership of Your Short Film). Information that is publicly displayed is marked in distinct lettering as described on the Submit Film Form.

We use this information to verify the ages of the stars, make payments to Filmmakers, display public information on the Site, and comply with applicable laws.

Contact Us

If you submit personal information, such as your email address, to us by following the contact us link located throughout the Site, we will use that information to respond to your question or request for information. We will not share your information with third parties without your explicit permission.

Surveys

We may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys. If you participate, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these contests or surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as zip code). We use the survey data to improve our programs and services, and may publicize the results as a public service. The publicized results will not include any personally identifiable information.

We may use a third party service provider to conduct these contests or surveys; that company is prohibited from using our users’ personally identifiable information for any other purpose. We will not share the personally identifiable information you provide through a contest or survey with other third parties unless we give you prior notice and choice.

Information automatically collected by the Site

Like many websites, we collect and analyze certain non-personally identifying information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, the date & time, and clickstream data. We use this information to analyze website traffic, improve website performance, administer the website and to prevent fraud.

We do not associate personal information with the information collected, except when needed to prevent fraud.

In some of our email messages we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the pureAphrodisiac website. When a customer clicks one of these URLs, they pass through our web server before arriving at the destination webpage. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked simply avoid clicking text or graphic links in the email.

When we share your Personal Information

We will also share your personal information if we are required to do so by law, or if we believe that doing so is necessary in order to conform to the law, cooperate with law enforcement agencies, comply with legal process served on pureAphrodisiac, enforce the Terms & Conditions, respond to claims that any such data violates the rights of others, or otherwise protect the rights, property or personal safety of pureAphrodisiac, its employees, users of or visitors to the Site, and the public.

How we protect & secure your personal information

We take administrative, electronic, technical, and physical precautions to safeguard and secure your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

We also follow industry standards to provide security for your sensitive information once we receive it. User personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights to such systems.

You can help protect your Personal Information by also taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. An opportunity to Opt-out

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information. For example, if you purchase a short film but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference on our order form. If you choose not to indicate your preference, you will not receive any marketing material from us.

If you no longer want pureAphrodisiac to keep you updated on special offers, news, and the latest information on pureAphrodisiac products and services, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by contacting us. You may also browse to the My Information page and update your personal contact information and preferences.

Access to your Personal Information

We will provide you reasonable access and the ability to correct the personal information you have provided. You can help us ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by checking the My Account area. If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by making the change on the My Account area or by contacting us.
